Lens Review: Hasselblad XCD 90mm f/2.5 V
The Hasselblad XCD 90mm f/2.5 V is a short telephoto prime lens designed for Hasselblad's medium format X System cameras. Offering a 71mm equivalent focal length, this lens is ideal for portrait, landscape, and general photography. Its bright f/2.5 maximum aperture allows for excellent depth-of-field control and low-light performance. The optical design includes nine elements in six groups, featuring one aspherical and one extra-low dispersion (ED) element to minimize aberrations and ensure high image quality. The lens incorporates a leaf shutter capable of shutter speeds up to 1/4000s with full flash synchronization at all speeds. A linear stepping motor provides fast and accurate autofocus, while the weather-sealed construction ensures reliability in various shooting conditions.
